Seven rooms
Over three floors, each named for something you can see from it. Every room has its own bathroom, a good bed and a window that opens.
Breakfast at the long table
From eight until half past nine, at one long table in the old kitchen, or at your own table in the window if you would rather. Tell us what you cannot eat when you book and we will cook around it.
The house
Built in 1824 for a ferryman who did well. An inn since 1931, and ours since 2016.
We kept the wide pine floors, the crooked stair and the ferryman’s ledger in the hall, and put a good bed in every room. Ruth cooks; Dan keeps the garden and the books; both of us answer the door.
